LATAM Family Office Society is the first organization globally bringing Latin American family offices together. 


LATAM Family Office Society introduces LATAM family offices to the US ecosystem and creates a collaboration environment with US investors, US Family Offices and US financial institutions.


We are a membership based, invitation only group based in Miami, Florida.

Lourdes Castillo is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of LATAM Family Office Society. Lourdes is also the co-founder of Economic Club of Miami and the founder and CEO of LMC Communications, a strategic advising & public relations firm focused on South Florida as gateway of the Americas. 


Being an advocate of women and children’s issue

Lourdes Castillo is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of LATAM Family Office Society. Lourdes is also the co-founder of Economic Club of Miami and the founder and CEO of LMC Communications, a strategic advising & public relations firm focused on South Florida as gateway of the Americas. 


Being an advocate of women and children’s issues, Ms. Castillo served as Commissioner for the Florida Commission on the Status of Women from 2008 through 2013.  She was a co-founding partner of MIT’s Global Co Creation Lab, helping lead their South Florida branch in their breakthrough technologies and innovation-driven enterprises. 


Ms. Castillo’s impact and leadership in South Florida has been recognized by several notable organizations. Over the years, she has been awarded the Big Brother Big Sister “Miracle Maker” Award, the Junior League of Miami “Women Who Make a Difference” Award, Chapman Partnership “Womenade” recognition.  Lourdes has been at the forefront of helping to foster a thriving economic and financial ecosystem in South Florida.

Rosemary Sagar, CFA is a co-founder of LATAM Family Office Society.  As Principal and Chief Investment Officer of Sagar Family Office, she has been allocating to private funds, including private credit, real estate, hedge funds, secondary funds PE, VC, and private companies, since 2004.  She oversees the family legacy of her late father Dr. Vidya Sagar at IP law firm Remfry & Sagar, founded 1827 (www.remfry.com), and as Chair of The Sagar School (www.thesagarschool.org), an award-winning boarding school in Rajasthan.


From 2005 to 2022, Rosemary was also CIO of the Kingdon Foundation at Kingdon Capital Management LLC.. Previously, she spent 20 years in International Equities, as Head of Global Investments at US Trust, and as SVP International Equities at GE Investments, where she managed $1.8bn in pension assets for GE, NYC Employees Retirement System, NYC Police and NYC Teachers. She was Chair of GE’s UK pension fund and board member of GE Plastics' Dutch pension fund. Previously she covered European equities at Baring Securities, Drexel Burnham Lambert and was the first international equity analyst at Morgan Stanley.


Rosemary is a frequent speaker at leading family office conferences.  Current and former advisory board positions and trusteeships include Working Nation, Greenwich Economic Forum, EuroNext NYSE, Comex, and Rumsey Hall School.  Rosemary received her MBA from Columbia University and her BS (summa cum laude, Beta Gamma Sigma) from Boston University. She speaks native German and is fluent in French.

Balki has worked with various global financial institutions focusing on risk management, data analysis, digital assets risks and compliance and financial regulatory compliance. Her focus areas include customer on-boarding, due diligence and financial transaction monitoring. 


Throughout her career, Balki has built and managed large teams and she has demonstrated success in project management, product development and building a strong team culture. She worked on projects focusing on the use of AI and different technologies to improve the due diligence procedures of financial institutions.

Mr. Deakin is an executive with 30 years’ experience in North America, Europe, Asia and South America with private equity/venture capital, private credit, real estate,and infrastructure/energy. Over the last few years, Mr. Deakin has been an active investor in general strategies, Fintech, Blockchain, Crypto, AI, Deep tech Life science, Digital Health, Proptech. EdTech & MedTech by investing in venture and private equity funds, direct investments, co-investments, and tokens. 

Previously Mr. Deakin has been a partner of a VC fund and a managing director of a private equity firm.
